COVID-19 & Traveling To The Bahamas

      We are maintaining constant contact with the ferry operator, hotels in the Bahamas and government officials concerning travel to the Bahamas. The ferry operator is following all of the recommendations of government & international health authorities, such as: World Health Organization, Ministry of Health and the CDC, to name a few, to ensure safe travel services for all passengers.

      Please prepare to arrive at the port at least 2 hours prior to your departure time due to additional screening measures, such as temperature checks and social distancing guidelines. Face masks / coverings are required for all passengers and crew entering Port Everglades until further notice. The Bahamas also requires proof of a negative COVID-19 PCR Swab Test that is no more than 5 days old upon arrival for anyone over the age of 10. After you receive your test results you must visit https://travel.gov.bs prior to your travel date to complete the Bahamas health visa application form. You will be required to upload your test results and answer a few questions. The application must be completed for each passenger prior to your arrival in the Bahamas. Once approved, you will be required to pay $40.00 - $60.00 to receive the approved health visa, depending on your length of stay. This fee is insurance in the event you become ill or test positive in the Bahamas, as it pays for lodging and food during any additional time that you are required to stay. Your test results and the approved Health Visa must be printed and presented when you arrive at the port.

      Pre-Departure & Arrival

      • Travelers must obtain & present a COVID-19 RT-PCR Test with a negative result. The test must be taken no more than 5 days prior to the date of travel. Test results must be uploaded in the Health Visa portal (see below) and presented upon arrival.
        • Health Visa application must be completed once you receive your test results and may take up to 24 hours to receive a response.

      If you did not purchase travel insurance but cannot travel on your current travel dates, you may request a refund in the form of a store credit for the full amount of your travel package price. We have also waived all penalties and rebooking fees. This will allow you to rebook any future travel date, without penalty, and a store credit never expires. Name changes are also permitted when using a store credit, if needed. In order to receive a full store credit you must notify us at least 24 hours in advance of your current departure date. You may request a store credit online.
