This all-inclusive beachfront resort located on the south shore of Grand Bahama Island resides on 26 acres of gorgeous secluded beach, lush foliage, and natural wildlife. Each of the resort’s 274 comfortable rooms have been recently updated and include standard garden rooms, larger size “flora” rooms and ocean front “vista” rooms. All rooms have a terrace or balcony.
The Viva Wyndham Fortuna features three delicious restaurants, nightly live entertainment, and themed parties. As part of the all-inclusive package, all guests are offered unlimited food and alcohol, chaise lounges and beach towels, a Kid’s Club for children ages 4-12, and WiFi in the lobby and main bars. The all-inclusive resort also offers endless complementary on-site activities to meet every guest’s needs, including but not limited to: fitness center, sauna, fresh-water pool, kayaking, beach volleyball courts, tennis courts, snorkeling, wind surfing, sailing, trapeze and introductory dive lessons.

All cancellations made 6 days or less prior to departure: 100% Penalty / 0% Account Credit / No Direct Refund Available
All cancellations made 30-7 days prior to departure: 50% Penalty / 50% Account Credit / No Direct Refund Available
All cancellations made 31 days or more prior to departure: 25% Penalty / 75% Account Credit / No Direct Refund Available
Any account credit balance may be used towards a future booking within 12 months of the date of your initial booking or transfered to another traveler when traveling in groups of 10 or more.
All confirmed flights are non-refundable & subject to all rules of the carrier. The carrier may or may not issue a partial credit for booking a future flight. Contact the carrier for more information.
Changes made to confirmed cruise reservations at any time will be assessed a $50.00 fee per person/change.
Travel insurance is highly reccommended and available upon request. In most cases, travel insurance covers 100% of your package price should you need to cancel a confirmed reservations for a covered reason and as long as you meet the qualifications and terms of the insurance policy.

Enjoyable resort. Great staff!

Great beach, Decent rooms. We had a great ocean view.
Food is decent at the big buffet but not always piping hot. Fine dining restaurant was much better. Drinks are plentiful- not necessarily top shelf but great ambiance on beach with the tiki umbrellas, etc.
Staff was wonderful, especially front desk- Keith is the best!
Only complaint was the solar hot water system left us without hot water for a shower at the end of the day.
Will definitely go back. Fun place.
Little mix up with ground transportation (which we paid for) - no taxi waiting for us at the ferry terminal when we got off. They did recitify the return cab. Waiting on our refund for the one taxi ride.
Overall, a great beach, great Bahama Mamas & view.

I had read so many good reviews and so many not so good reviews about this resort that I was a little nervous to say the least. The fast ferry was a great 3 hour ride, no complaints! From the ferry we pre booked Pat & Diane Tours ground transportation. Pat was our driver and he was great! Not only was he full of information about everything we needed to know but the van/bus was so much better than taking a cab and cheaper too.
Upon arrival at the Viva Wyndham I expected average at best but to my surprise it was well above average. The lobby is nice and tropical, the grounds were spotless and looked freshly landscaped and painted. There was about a 30 minute wait to get checked in and into our ocean view or Vista room. The room was great! The furnishings and bedding looked fairly new and it was a contemporary and bright theme. Our view was stunning...We directly faced the beach (a gorgeous beach) and the turquoise blue waters of the Caribbean...Loved it!
All I can say is that if there was anything at all bad about the place we didn't see it. The food is average but for this price it's a steal.
