Introducing the new Bimini Fast Ferry with service from Fort Lauderdale, Florida to Bimini, Bahamas. The Bimini Fast Ferry has a capacity of 600 passengers and features both economy and business premium seating.  The Bimini Ferry sails from the Port Everglades on Fridays, Sundays & Wednesdays most months (see full schedule below). The Bimini Fast Ferry offers one-way service, day trips (over and back same day) or split dates (depart one day and return another). All passengers traveling to Bimini by fast ferry service are required to present a valid passport or a U.S. passport card.

Fast Ferry Regular Schedule (DEPARTURE TIMES SUBJECT TO CHANGE. REVIEW YOUR TICKET FOR DEPARTURE TIMES.)

  • Fast Ferry departs Port Everglades at 9:00 am (check-in begins at 6:00 am & closes at 7:50 am)
  • Fast Ferry arrives in Bimini at 11:00 am (same day)
  • Fast Ferry departs Bimini at 6:00 pm, 7:00 pm or 8:00 pm (refer to your travel documents for exact departure time)
  • Fast Ferry arrives Port Everglades at 8:00 pm, 9:00 pm or 10:00 pm (refer to your travel documents for exact arrival time)

Only personal belongings are considered to be luggage.
*Each passenger may take one carry on piece of luggage free of charge. The carry on item must be no larger than 22" x 18" x 10" and weigh no more than 25 lbs. Items exceeding these dimensions or if you have additional luggage an additional charge of $25.00 per piece will apply. Any additional luggage fees must be paid at the port at the time of departure. 

Passengers with cargo items (large items that that do not fit in a suitcase, such as dive equipment, bicycles, etc.) must drop these items off at the warehouse the day before your sailing. Please be mindful of the days the warehouse will load your items onboard before you book your sailing. 

ALL items, baggage, etc must be labeled with the passenger’s full name and address. Unclaimed baggage with be held for 10 days at owner’s risk and expense and will be discarded after that period of time.

**Rates may be higher during peak season periods, based on availability, class of seating and other factors. Port taxes, Bahamas departure fees and service fees will be added to your final rate before check-out.

 Cancellation Policy

All cancellations made 6 days or less prior to departure: 100% Penalty / 0% Account Credit / No Direct Refund Available
All cancellations made 30-7 days prior to departure: 50% Penalty / 50% Account Credit / No Direct Refund Available
All cancellations made 31 days or more prior to departure: 25% Penalty / 75% Account Credit / No Direct Refund Available
Any account credit balance may be used towards a future booking within 12 months of the date of your initial booking or transfered to another traveler when traveling in groups of 10 or more.
All confirmed flights are non-refundable & subject to all rules of the carrier. The carrier may or may not issue a partial credit for booking a future flight. Contact the carrier for more information.
Changes made to confirmed cruise reservations at any time will be assessed a $50.00 fee per person/change.
Travel insurance is highly recommended and available upon request. In most cases, travel insurance covers 100% of your package price should you need to cancel a confirmed reservations for a covered reason and as long as you meet the qualifications and terms of the insurance policy.

Travel Documents Required:
Traveling by ferry service requires that U.S. Citizens present a valid passport or passport card for travel. Birth certificates for U.S. citizens are no longer accepted, as of December 24, 2018.

  1. Expect delays

    We experienced 3hour delay leaving Miami and the staff on board didn't communicate any updates or expectations during this time.
    The ferry ride itself is fast and smooth but they are not reliable in terms of leaving on time.
    We were delayed by an hour on our return again with no explanation.
    We travelled with a toddler and the disembarking process was a chaotic. They shut the AC off and we had to wait and hour on board before being allowed to leave. Again with no explanation of the process or what was happening.

  2. Very Nice Experience

    We took the Bimini Ferry at the first of February and stayed overnight at the Hilton. Even though it was a short trip it was very enjoyable. The ferry service is a nice, relaxing ride for about 2 hours. It actually docks at the Hilton, which is very convenient. The Hilton was great! It’s fairly new with a casino, nice beach and multiple pools.

    All in all, it was a very pleasant and inexpensive getaway. My wife and I will definitely do this one again.
