My family and I opted for the cruise and stay package at Lighthouse Pointe. We've never been on a cruise so this allowed us to experience the cruise ship and stay on the island. My husband gets sea sick and he did not want to be stuck on a boat for 6 nights.
The ship was great! The seas were calm and no one got sick. The show aboard the ship was also really great.
We arrived at Lighthouse Pointe the next day and the hotel is very, very nice. It's an upscale resort with 4 restaurants, plus, an additional 5-star restaurant for a surcharge of $25.00. We tried that for one night and it was well worth it. The other nights we used the included restaurants, which were all above average. There are no cafeteria style restaurants, which is a good thing. The beach was gorgeous and we spent lots of time there. There are 2 pools, including an infinite pool and a large lap pool. Great service and great employees, as well.
The resort is located across from Port Lucaya, which is a hub for the island. You will find live entertainment nightly in the gazebo on the marina, lots of excursions, shopping and everything else there.
It was a fantastic vacation and we're already planning to go back next year.

I've taken my family to many all-inclusive resorts over the years. It's the best deal because purchasing food and alcohol a la cart will cost you a small fortune. Most all-inclusive are cafeteria style but Lighthouse Point is not that at all.
We were very impressed by the many restaurants we could choose from and all of them were top of the line. There's even a 5-star restaurant for dinner. The resort itself is by far the best o the island. I would highly recommend this hotel package!
